Münster: The Westphalian Foal Auction ended this evening with a total turnover of 147,250 Euros. 20 foals changed hands at an average price of 7,363 euros. The most popular offer was a strikingly marked son of Asgard's Ibiza. Ibiza's Sun changed hands for 13,500 euros. The most expensive foal for later tasks in the show jumping course was a daughter of Emerald van het Ruytershof. Eisprinzessin AK was knocked down at 12,500 euros.

The customers had to wait a while for the most expensive offer of the evening. The strikingly marked son of Asgard's Ibiza danced his way into the hearts of the clientele with head number 35. Ibiza's Sun (breeder and exhibitor: Klaus Niemann, Petershagen) caused quite a stir in social media due to his striking appearance. 13 bidding parties fought for the bid. The dam of this colt, Rusetta TS by Dimaggio, has already produced two licensed stallions. This black stallion is preparing to follow in the same footsteps. After 31 bids, he changed to Bavarian ownership for 13,500 Euros. A son of Fidertanz/Veneno was also high in the favour of the customers at the Westphalian Studbook. Federades (breeder and exhibitor: Lara-Katharina Westebbe, Fröndenberg) impressed with his type and excellent movement. Eleven bidders competed for the knock down of the bay colt. Customers from Germany had the most staying power, winning the bid for 13,000 euros. A son of Skyline to B, Sunny Sky RAK (breeder and exhibitor: Rebekka Aicher Koch, Switzerland), was also worth 10,000 Euros to customers from Denmark. His dam, Verb.Pr.St. Noblesse Oblige by Negro, is a half-sister to the second reserve champion of the 2022 Westphalian Main Licensing, Valparaiso. The son of Viva Gold changed hands at the stallion sales for 200,000 euros to the Celle State Stud.

Among the foals predispositioned for jumping, a filly with the head number 1 advanced to the top price at the start of the auction. Eisprinzessin AK by Emerald van het Ruytershof (breeder and exhibitor: Andreas Klaaßen, Bocholt) was worth 12,000 Euros to her new owners from Switzerland. Her dam Call me Princess by Cornet Obolensky is a half-sister to the internationally successful show jumper Alberdina. Head number 3 Cronquett by Conthargos/Darco (breeder and exhibitor: ZG Schumacher, Verl) was the most expensive colt with a jumping pedigree. The bay was knocked down to Bavaria for 10,000 euros.

At the Westphalian Online Auction this evening, 20 of the 35 foals on offer changed hands. Customers invested an average of 7,363 euros in the Westphalian young talents for the dressage arena and show jumping course. The Westphalian Stud Book thus turned over 147,250 euros. Four of the foals sold will grow up outside of Germany. With this online auction, the Westphalian Studbook has been able to sell a total of 128 foals so far this year at an average price of 9,691 euros. The foals changed hands via six online auctions, four auctions at competitions and one OnLive auction. The Westphalian foal auctions continue at the Global Champions Tour in Riesenbeck before the highlight of the year, the Westphalian Week, takes place in Münster-Handorf. The jumping foals will make their grand entrance on Friday, July 28. The dressage foals will be auctioned on Saturday, July 29. Both auction parts will take place in the form of an OnLive auction.
